Why Most "Free" Tools Are a Privacy Trap — And What We Did Differently

The dirty secret of the online-tools industry: if a converter, formatter, or decoder is free and asks you to paste data, that data is almost always the product. Server-side logging, training-data harvesting, and downstream resale are the default business model. A single pasted .env file or live JWT can hand an attacker your entire production environment. We built Plobi-kit to make that risk disappear entirely.

Every tool processes your input entirely inside your browser — nothing you type is transmitted, logged, or profiled. The only server-side actions are the ones you explicitly trigger: creating a share link or sending a contact message, both described plainly in our privacy policy. Local-first is not a feature we bolted on — it is the foundation the site is built on.

We are a small, independent team of developers and designers who believe productivity utilities should be instant, beautiful, and trustless. Plobi-kit is open about its source and its limits, and we publish security guides (like our survival guide on never pasting secrets) so the whole community builds safer habits — not just our own users.
